Himalayas are the rick depository of natural resources and serve as the place of origin for many crops; Natural resources of Himalayas are the biggest economic opportunity for the State. In Uttarakhand there are many areas needs to putting efforts for creating artisan opportunities in all manner for the rural people of the State for sustainability of their livelihood and employment generation. The main focus has been on promotion of collective approach to development by organizing and strengthening community based institutions.

On 9th January 2016, a Garhwali 3D LED Fusion Concert was organized by HIFEED in Dehradun. This event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Mr. Harish Rawat. Apart from it some Cabinet Minister, MLAs and many more other dignitaries were present during the event. Major performance was given by renowned Garhwali singers Mr. Narendra Singh Negi & Party, Mr. Kishan Mahipal, Meena Rana, Sanjay Kumola and many more other singers of the State.

Purpose of organizing this unique event in the Capital of Uttarakhand is to awaken the people with regard to know the high traditions of Himalaya regions with rich heritage of our world known nation. Vividly aim is to promote our culture and high traditions among youth of the nation with proving an accurate knowledge of Indian heritage and we hope we shall be able to tell the new generation importance of our culture. Special focus was given on enhancing the skills and capabilities of the local artisan SHGs/cooperatives/local institutions which are engaged in processing and value additions. In this occasion we endeavoured to make this memorable occasion a grand success by organizing a series of cultural programmes, photo sessions, detail documentary and many other activities reflecting the myriad and composite culture of in and around Uttarakhand.

HIFEED is committed for social motive and social cause to work hard through many ways and one of the ways is to organize such events in order to promote our rich culture and heritage which is diminishing day by day. So we all have our prior duty to save our geographical culture and heritage.

The programme was supported by Directorate of Culture, Government of Uttarakhand for an amount of Rs. 1,25,000.00 and by State Infrastructure and Industrial Development Corporation of Uttarakhand Ltd.
