HIFEED has established a Natural History & Conservation Centre (NHRC) in Shamli of Uttar Pradesh to conserve the natural resources of the Country.

Year Wise Activities Conducted/Implemented in Shamli District:

2009-10:

During this year, the Organization has imparted training on Internet Literacy and Computer Application at Shamli. Approximate 60 students were provided free training on the subject.

The Organization also organized awareness camps on HIV/AIDS in the area to make aware the people on this issue. Total four camps are organized in the area during the year.

Besides this the Organization also organized two plantation programs in the area and planted approximate 5000 plants in the area.

2010-11:

During this year, the Organization has imparted training on Internet Literacy and Computer Application at Shamli. Fifty students were provided free training on the subject.

The Organization also organized awareness camps on HIV/AIDS in the area to make aware the people on this issue. Total four camps are organized in the area during the year.

Besides this, the Organization also organized two plantation programmes in the region and planted approximate 5000 plants in the area.

2011-12:

This year HIFEED has established a Natural History & Conservation Centre in Shamli of Uttar Pradesh to conserve the natural resources of the Country. Six research projects have been started by the research scholars of HIFEED through this centre, which are as under:

1. Vocal Individuality as a Non-Invasive Conservation Research Tool in Three Indian PheasantsSpecies, the Himalayan Monal, Western Tragopan and Koklass Pheasant

2. Breeding Ecology of Finn’s Weaver (PloceusMegarhynchus- Hume)

3. Acoustic Communication in Three Indian Hornbill Species, Great Hornbill, Oriental Pied Hornbill and the Indian Grey Hornbill

4. Habitat Management, Acoustic Communication & Ecological Study on the Sarus Crane Grus Antigone(Linne) in Western U.P., India

5. Prey Delivery Patterns and Nesting Ecology of PloceusPhillipinusand PloceusManyar in North India

6. Avian Diversity Around Himalayan Institute For Ecology, Environment & Development, Hifeed Campus,Ranichauri , Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, India

2012-13:

During this year, the Organization has imparted training on Computer Application, Computer Hardware & Networking and Internet Literacy at Shamli. Eighty students were provided free training on the subject.

The Organization has organized three plantation programmes in the region and planted approximate 6500 fruit, fodder andfuel plants in the area.

Besides this, the Organization also organized awareness camps on HIV/AIDS in the area to make aware the people on thissensitive issue. Total two camps are organized in the area during the year. A women awareness generation camp alsoorganized in the area on women rights, consumer awareness, Government schemes, etc.

Programmes with Minority Communities:

• 80 Children who lived in the riot prone area were rehabilitated in the safe area under the custodian of district administration.

• The riot effected children living in insanitary environment are infected by preventable disease and infection and diarrheal disease. The diarrheal disease was the cause of malnutrition amongst children, such as deficiency of blood, low nutrition, to squat the health problem, the health camp was organized by HIFEED and blood samples were taken of more than 3000 persons join the camp and RH factors of blood were tested. 6% girls were identified as affected by blood deficiency. Consequently the precautionary measure and preventive cure were suggested to the partakers.

• Within the course of interaction of health camps 50 girls were trained about the basic of health problems and low nutrition symptoms, sanitation, health and hygiene.

• The children have the right to forms of emotional, mental and physical development. To conceal the situation, the proper care and love of a support system, mental development through education and learning and physical development through recreation, play and nutrition. The 15 schools were selected for campaigning against the physical punishment. The awareness camps were organized in 15 Madarsa and primary schools. The students and teachers were educated about to take away the physical torture system.

• The child abuse is often a hidden phenomenon especially when it happens in the home or by family members. Emotional abuse can be seen as a failure to provide a supportive environment and primary attachment figure for a child, to focus on irradiating the problems. The innovative scientific innovative intervention programme was planned, as stated by the strategy, the Baal Vigyan Clubs were constituted in the school of the affected area. The science exhibition programme were organized, the students were suggested to make the model on innovative scientific object.
